After the reduction cycle lead bullion from the tilting rotary furnace is fed either directly into a refining kettle or into 1 tonne or 2 tonne sow moulds.
Dross Engineering supplies a powered bullion train carrying 5 or 7 sow moulds (capacity: 200 litre each).
The train may be supplemented by an extra ‘wagon’.
The train runs on rails set into the foundry floor powered by a motor-gearbox linked to one of the axels.
An on-board power generator supplies power to the motor-gearbox.
Train movements are controlled by remote radio.
